My new pinto character, Jackson. I have no idea how pintos are exactly colored, so there may be a few flaws that keep him from being a true pinto. But oh well.
I hope you don't mind crit! A few points: the front leg he's holding up is too short, and he's holding it at a funny angle. It seems that you drew the top of the leg too high and I think if you enlongate the part of the leg...not the part where the hoof is attached, but the bit above that, it would look a lot better. If that makes sense, haha. And to be honest, there seems to be problems with the back legs as well. I think if you used multiple refs it would look more realistic and more anatomically correct.
It's still lovely though. :3 I do like his face.

Thank you for the crit! Yes, I see what you mean with the legs. I actually used a ref for the back legs, at least for the bent one. I drew from a real horse, then used the life dawing for reference for this drawing.
Hopefully someday I'll be able to draw horses better

Is it the same pinto you used to sketch, or is it another one? He looks awesome, though his left front leg seems to be too short and at the wrong angle.
Horse anatomy is tricky. I got myself used to it some years ago, but now I think I need to start all over because the last horses I drew were those crazy zebras, I think...
